Photos: Let the Food Trucks Roll!
Look up the definition of a “krewe” in any local New Orleanian’s dictionary, and it might read something like this: “any group or organization of revelers that band together to participate in a social event.”
But what happens when that group of revelers happen to be Kehoe-France Pioneers? Suddenly, the word takes on a whole new meaning, for the “Super Krewe of Kehoe-France” sits in a league of its own.
From the decor of purple, green, and gold on display around campus to the melodic sound of jazz rhythmically playing in the background to a bevy of food trucks emblematic of the diversity that makes our school community so special, it was obvious from the start that this year’s celebration in gratitude of our Kehoe-France families, faculty, and staff was one for the ages.
Our city, so deeply rooted in traditions of yesteryear, has certainly had its share of challenges brought upon by the Coronavirus pandemic, and while festivities have certainly looked a little differently around the globe, it is only fitting that our school decided to come together, even if socially distanced, to bond over food, friends, fun, and family. Afterall, the richness of culture mixed with a community that truly cares for one another can only be found in one place: with the Super Krewe of Kehoe-France.
